The Hallway Renovation Process goes through these steps.
Stage 1- Removal of baseboard and moldings. Takes 1-2 days. (This Stage Can be noisey and create hallway Dust)
Stage 2 Pulling Cat5 internet Wires and installing Fire Alarm- Takes 3-6 Days. (This Stage just looks ugly due to wires hanging out of the ceiling.
Stage 3 Installation of Trim around Doors and New Baseboard. Takes 5-7 Days (Can be noisey due to Trim installation)
Stage 4. Plastering and Patching of Holes in walls made by removing molding and Baseboards. Takes 3-5 Days
(This stage has lots of workers in the hallway and creates dust from sanding not much noise though) There are also internet wires hanging from the ceiling in some hallways. These are not dangerous electrical wires. Just harmless unconnected internet wires.
Stage 5. Painting of hallways- Takes 2-3 days (Little Noise, no Dust, Paint Smell)
Stage 6- Installation of new carpet- 1-2 Days (Crowded hallways may have problem accessing room at times)
Status Update Oct 13th 2011 All Floors are now painted and at stage 5 except the 8th Floor which has been painted and it waiting to have the baseboard installed. So, most halls are looking good now..
Townhouses L6 and L7 are located right off the Lobby which was renovated last year and they are not effected by the hallway renovations.
Townhouse T-1 is on the mezzine level and the hallway is uneffected, but the townhouse T-1 View of the pool is now a view of a a big hole in the dirt. The Ocean side view from the townhouse is still beautiful. They are also working on the pool outside of Unit T-1 from 9-5 M-F. So, there may be some noise during some days.
Below are pictures of the outside of the Hotel the Lobby and the hallways in their vairious stages of plastering and painting.
